Money Model Builder
A money model is a planned sequence of offers. Pick one card for each slot — attraction, upsell, downsell, continuity — then describe how yours will work. Build it in order: get cash, more cash, then the most cash.
Turns attention into customers (often free or discounted).
Empty slotThe next thing they buy — solves the problem the last purchase revealed.
Empty slotWhat you offer after a "no" — a version that fits their budget.
Empty slotSomething ongoing they pay for again and again.
Empty slotOffer cards
Buy X, Get Y Free
They buy one thing and get more free — the more and better the free stuff, the better it works.
Decoy Offer
Advertise a free or cheap option, then show a far more valuable premium option beside it and let them pick.
Giveaway
Many enter to win a big prize; one wins, and everyone else gets offered the prize at a discount.
Win Your Money Back
They pay now and earn it back (cash or credit) by hitting a result or doing set actions.
Pay Less Now or Pay More Later
Choose: pay full price later if happy, or a lower price plus bonuses today.
Free Presentation
Teach a group for free long enough to close the knowledge gap, then make the offer.
Two-Step Sale
A cheap first step that gets a card on file and a show-up, then the real sale at a second meeting.
Classic Upsell
The moment they discover the next problem, offer the fix: "You can't have X without Y."
Menu Upsell
Tell them what they don't need first, then exactly what they do need.
Anchor Upsell
Show the premium option first; if it's too much, the main offer feels easy.
Rollover Upsell
Credit what they already paid toward something bigger: "Want to roll it forward?"
A/B Upsell
Ask which of two options they prefer instead of whether they want one at all.
Prescription Upsell
Tell them exactly what they need and how to use it, as if they already own it.
Payment Plan Downsell
Same product, same price — part now, the rest in scheduled payments.
Trial With Penalty
Start free if they follow your terms; they only pay if they don't.
Feature Downsell
Lower the price by changing what they get — less quantity, lower tier, fewer extras.
Continuity Bonus
Give something great — worth more than the first payment — if they subscribe today.
Continuity Discount
Time free if they commit to a longer subscription.
Waived Fee
A big start-up fee for month-to-month, waived if they commit to a longer term.
Four-Week Billing
Bill every 4 weeks instead of monthly — 13 cycles a year instead of 12.
Continued Access
A low-cost, low-work version that rolls on automatically after the main purchase.
